Why this print is different

These are the best Apollo prints you can buy, and here is why. This is not a reproduction of a reproduction. The image was restored by the authors of the book from the archival scan of the original 70 mm film frames, with dust and scratches removed and the color and exposure corrected against the film. Nothing is added or invented. Many Apollo prints sold online are made from small web files; this one comes from the film. It is giclée printed on thick, sustainably sourced fine art paper with water based inks, made to order in our studio, checked by hand, and framed by hand with a conservation grade mount.

Our frames
Our framed prints are the perfect choice for showcasing our restored Apollo photographs on your wall. They are handmade to order with high-quality materials, including sustainably sourced wood, a premium fine art print, and a photo mount. All mounts are “conservation grade”, sustainably sourced, 100% acid free, and will not discolor or fade with age.
They come ready to hang straight out of the box, so you don't have to worry about sourcing a frame and mounting yourself. This is a convenient and cost-effective solution for displaying your prints with ease.
Our photo frames come in a variety of colors, including black, white, and natural wood. These frames are custom-made to order and come with a Perspex glaze for added protection. The Perspex glaze also helps to protect the photograph print from damage and UV fading.
Frame sizes
Available in two sizes, choose the perfect size to fit your wall. Keep in mind that the size listed for each frame is the width and height of the Perspex glaze. See below for a breakdown of the exact dimensions.
To make our frame sizing straightforward and easy, we use the measurement system you are most familiar with to produce our frames. All frames made in the UK and EU are precisely to the centimeter. All frames produced in the USA and Australia are to the inch.

When we set out making the Apollo VII-XVII photo book, we strived to bring out the lost and hidden beauty from the latest archival film scans and do justice to these incredible images by beautifully printing them on the best paper stocks to make the highest quality coffee table book.
We are committed to continue providing the highest quality framed photo art prints from the Apollo Program. Our images are Giclée printed on thick, sustainably sourced paper using eco-friendly water-based inks that produce vibrant colors and deep, contrasting blacks. The prints are protected by acrylic perspex glaze that makes the image pop off the wall.

We have 4 production studios based around the world that carefully make each frame and print. Each Framed print is made to order to maintain the high standards of quality and care we strive for.
Our production studios are located in the US, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Australia. These locations around the globe allow us to have fast, tracked and insured shipping times around the globe, and also to help our customers in these regions to avoid any additional costs.

Peace of mind
To ensure that your framed print arrives at its destination in perfect condition, we take great care in packing and protecting it during shipping. Our frames are carefully wrapped and placed in sturdy, double-wall corrugated cardboard shipping boxes.
All of our shipments are insured and come with tracking, so you can have extra peace of mind knowing that your framed print is covered and that you can track its progress.
No, the size listed for each frame refers to the size of the glaze and does not include the width of the frame.
The frames feature a metal framing hook attached to the back of the frame mounting board, making it easy to install with a screw, nail, or your preferred hanging method.
Our frames are finished with a perspex acrylic glaze that adds the finishing touch to the frame and also provides protection against UV damage. Please note any print located in direct sunlight is still likely to fade over time.
Our mounts are a "brilliant snow" white color, made of 1.4 mm thick, acid-free, and sustainably sourced "conservation grade" card stock that will not yellow or fade over time. The window within the mount is cut with a beveled edge, providing a nice depth between the glaze and the print.
Crafted from sustainably sourced wood, and finished with satin-laminate for a high quality finish and to keep the frame easy to maintain.
Simply clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
All our framed and rolled prints are bespoke and tailor-made to your order, which, unfortunately means that we cannot accept returns for any items that have been put into production.
You may cancel your order, provided that we have not initiated production for your order. Generally production on all orders is initiated around 8 hours after your order is placed.
To do this you must notify us by sending an email to hello@apollophotoprints.com.
Upon receiving your order, we figure out which of our productions studios is nearest (or has the fasted delivery route) to your shipping address. The benefits of this are shorter shipping distances, faster delivery times and less environmental impact.
All EU orders are shipped from the Netherlands.
All UK orders are shipped from within the UK.
All USA orders are shipped from within the United States of America.
All Australian orders (excluding framed panoramic prints) are shipped from within Australia.
